Jump Ashin!

In 2005, Jump! Boys, a simple documentary about a boys' gymnastics team, swept numerous awards and emerged as a surprise box office hit in Taiwan. The coach in the documentary is director Lin Yu-hsien's older brother, Ashin. Six years later, Lin turns his gymnast brother's rough-and-tumble youth into a narrative film, with Eddie Peng undergoing intense physical training to take on the title role of wayward athlete Ashin. After giving up gymnastics, Ashin falls into trouble with the wrong crowd, and leaves his hometown of Yilan. But his heart will eventually bring him back to the sport he loves.
